Summary: On the morning of March 8, 2016, Professor Wu Handong, former President of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, a nationally recognized authority on intellectual property law, and a doctoral supervisor, was invited to our company’s BioCity R&D Center to deliver a lecture titled “Enterprise Intellectual Property: Strategic Choices and Management Measures.” The event was attended by more than thirty participants, including Mr. Wang Chaodong, Chairman of the Company, senior management, and several patent examiners from the Hubei Patent Examination Cooperation Center. This lecture also formed part of the Company’s 2016 series of legal training programs.

　　Professor Wu Handong provided a detailed exposition on three key areas: the current state and emerging trends in international intellectual property protection, the three strategic shifts in “Made in China,” and the critical importance of pharmaceutical R&D innovation and patent protection for companies. He underscored the pivotal role of intellectual property in national strength-building and, drawing on our company’s specific circumstances, emphasized the need for enterprises to simultaneously focus on increasing both the quantity and, more importantly, the quality of their patents. Following the lecture, Professor Wu Handong kindly and patiently answered questions from the audience.
　　
　　Finally, the Chairman presented Professor Wu with a letter of appointment, formally engaging him as Qirui’s Intellectual Property Advisor. This collaboration has laid a solid foundation for the company to establish and refine its intellectual property framework and governance system.
