Enhancing Competence Through Competition and Pursuing Development Through Quality: Qirui Pharmaceutical Successfully Holds Its 2024 Annual Quality Knowledge Competition

To fully implement Qirui Group’s core value of “Quality and Responsibility,” vigorously promote a culture of quality, and strengthen quality awareness across the organization, Qirui Pharmaceutical recently organized the 2024 Quality Knowledge Competition, themed “Quality Responsibility in Our Hearts, Product Quality in Our Hands.”

This competition is centered on knowledge related to the Drug Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Good Manufacturing Practice for Pharmaceuticals. The event consists of a preliminary round and a final round. The preliminary round is conducted as an online knowledge quiz, in which all employees of Qirui Pharmaceutical actively participated. Following the online assessment, 18 outstanding contestants stood out thanks to their solid professional expertise and advanced to the final round.

Following the preliminary rounds that served as a warm-up, the final competition officially kicked off with strong support from company leadership and employees. This final round featured four distinguished industry experts serving as professional judges: Haiyang, Quality Director at Qirui Pharmaceutical; Lu Yan, Production Director; Liu Le, Manager of the Quality Assurance Department; and Fei Cairong, Deputy Manager of the Quality Control Department.

With the official start of the competition, the six teams squared off in three grueling rounds to determine the ultimate winner. The first round was a mandatory-answer segment, in which the teams drew cards to reveal their questions. Displaying composure and quick thinking, the contestants fully demonstrated their solid theoretical foundation and extensive knowledge. The second round was a buzzer-beater challenge, bringing the competition to a fever pitch: teams were highly motivated and firing on all cylinders, with participants scrambling to answer as soon as the question was posed, instantly igniting the atmosphere and pushing the score into a tight stalemate at times. In the third round, an open-response segment, the teams once again drew questions. Faced with complex scenarios, they unleashed their creativity, engaging in a collaborative brainstorming session to devise strategies before complementing and refining each other’s answers—clearly showcasing their rigorous logical reasoning and earning valuable points for their respective teams. Throughout the event, audience participation was also woven into the program, with spectators eagerly vying to answer and actively engaging, driving the atmosphere to one thrilling climax after another.

After a fiercely contested competition, Team 1—comprising Liu Li from the Quality Assurance Department, Wang Ying from the Quality Control Department, and Luo Min from the Pilot-Scale Research Platform—emerged as the champion; Team 3—consisting of Liu Xiaohao from the Production Department, Wang Qingling from the Quality Assurance Department, and Yi Jianfeng from the Quality Control Department—secured second place; and Team 6—made up of Cai Jing from the Process Technology Department, Liang Yunpeng from the Materials Department, and Yi Qun from the Quality Control Department—took third place. In addition to the team awards, the competition also presented individual honors to the contestants with the highest accuracy rates. Among them, Wang Ying from the Quality Control Department stood out and was ultimately awarded the title of “Quality Star.”

The 2024 Quality Knowledge Competition organized by Qirui Pharmaceutical has successfully concluded. This event deepened the company’s quality philosophy, strengthened employees’ knowledge of regulatory requirements, and fostered greater communication and collaboration across departments.
