Company Commends Outstanding Individuals in Flood Control and Donates to Flood-Affected Areas

　　Since the onset of the plum rain season this year, regions including Wuhan and Ezhou have experienced consecutive heavy rainfall, placing the company’s production facilities under an extremely severe flood-control situation. During the flood-control period, our employees have demonstrated unwavering dedication, braved hardship and fatigue, courageously confronted challenges, and proactively sought solutions, thereby making outstanding contributions to maintaining stable and safe production operations.
　　
　　In the early hours of July 2, torrential rain arrived unexpectedly. Chen Feng, Head of the Equipment Department; Liu Yuan, Head of the EHS Department; and Liu Chilin, from the Construction Department, promptly rushed to the site, immediately organized an inspection of the accumulated water throughout the plant area, swiftly formulated a response plan, and mobilized resources to effectively address the flooding. As a result, the impact of the heavy rainfall on the various facilities within the pharmaceutical complex was minimized, with particular emphasis on ensuring the safe operation of critical infrastructure such as the boiler steam pipeline network, the hazardous chemicals warehouse, the electrical distribution room, and the hazardous waste storage facility.
　　
　　In the early hours of July 6, another bout of torrential rain struck, bringing citywide traffic to a near standstill and further exacerbating the flood-control situation at the plant. Yet in such emergencies, timely action is imperative: EHS Director Liu Yuan and Equipment Director Chen Feng, despite the risk of their personal vehicles being submerged, promptly arrived at the pharmaceutical facility and swiftly organized and implemented emergency flood-control measures, once again minimizing the impact of the heavy rainfall on the plant premises. Due to the extreme rainfall, water began to accumulate in the dormitory area; Dong Jian, Deputy Director of Workshop No. 2, promptly coordinated the shutdown of the dormitory’s power supply and cleared blocked drainage outlets to discharge the standing water, thereby preventing any potential electrical accidents. Meanwhile, the underground pump room in the Engineering Building at Zhongyou Pharmaceutical was inundated by floodwaters from outside. Upon discovering the situation, the night-shift staff immediately initiated pumping operations; however, given the intensity of the rain, the water level quickly rose to 1.2 meters. Upon receiving notification of the flooding, the morning-shift personnel reported for duty an hour ahead of schedule to continue the emergency response. To prevent further rises in the water level, all employees of the Engineering Building braved the rain to stack sandbags outdoors, placing them at the water inlets to seal off leaks while simultaneously continuing the pumping efforts. After more than two hours of relentless work, the water was finally completely drained.
　　
　　To encourage excellence, highlight exemplary individuals, and advance corporate culture development, the company has decided to publicly commend Chen Feng, Head of the Equipment Department at Qirui Pharmaceutical; Liu Yuan, Head of the EHS Department; Liu Chilin from the Construction Department; Dong Jian, Deputy Director of the Second Injection Workshop; as well as Xiao Neng, Huang Changjin, Ye Qiping, and Liao Yong, employees of the Equipment Department at Zhongyou Pharmaceutical.
　　
　　Meanwhile, in support of flood-control and disaster-relief efforts as well as post-disaster reconstruction in flood-affected areas, the company has made a charitable donation of RMB 300,000 through the Hubei Provincial Charity Federation, thereby actively contributing Qirui’s share to society!
